CORBA name service browser
During development of MP-Cluma we figured out that we needed a tool to browse through the contents of CORBA name services and modify them. For MICO a command line tool called nsadmin is available. But we also wanted to browse through the name service of ROFES, the CORBA implementation of our institute.
We found the name service browser ENames provided by Entrance Software.
This nice tools is based on Java and shows a graphical user interface for name service interaction.
Originally ENames is a browser for omniORB , to use it easily with MICO and ROFES we enabled the usage of JacORB instead of SunORB.
We also added some more features:
Change name service during runtime
Show name service in window title
Save IOR-strings to file
Confirmation dialog at unbind
Popup-menues at right mouse button click
As Entrance Software published ENames under GPL we provide here the modified ENames sources for download:
